How much do our material 'things' define us?
These are just super fun to make. Most of the time; I dont get to meet the lucky individuals I make the cakes for, but I get to know them from the many funny details and nice things their loved ones share about them.
To everyone else; the collection of items and details on the cake may look a little queer; but to the recipient and people close to them, it could mean the world! That's whats great about these... it's a personal sorta thing; nobody else has to understand or share it you with :)
If i were to create a personal assemblage for myself... Hmm.. I would probably have my macbook, blackberry, lil cuddly toys, a jar of peanut butter (spoon stuck inside), my doodle book + sketch pad, nikon DSLR.. and.. and.. and a big bowl of Instant noodles! *laughs*
What would you have on yours?

Your work is amazing! I don't know if I've commented before, but I've been following your blog. I'm reading all the way from the US (Texas to be specific) and just started learning cake decorating a few months ago, so I could make my daughter's cake for her first birthday next month. Your cakes and cupcakes are inspiring. I especially love the little figures. They are so cute!
hmmm.... probably :
a donkey, some vegetables, a woodburning stove, a tape measure, a bag of flour and a hammer
OMG YOU ARE OPENING IN PAVILION! CAN'T WAIT!
I just LOVE the things you make! They look amazingly beautiful {as always}! Two of the many things i would like to have on mine would be my sewing machine and my dslr! Have a lovely merry happy week and love to you!

Wow!!
Is all of that edible? You are super talented. I'm in Sydney and will one day come to Malaysia JUST so I can eat your cakes!
