Reintroducing myself to the kitchen.

It's been awhile since I've spoken about edible treats beyond those which are sugary and sweet.
With cakes to do all throughout my afternoons, it can get a little annoying trying to stop work for a trip out to lunch.
The traffic and bustle of KL city really isn't inviting in comparison to a short stroll to my pantry stocked with a few necessities waiting to be made into a delicious quick meal.
I'm just glad I have em and sis to cook for. It gets a little sad just cooking for yourself don't you think?

It isn't like before where I had the luxury of grocery shopping because it was fun.
Now I eat because I'm hungry. I eat because I have to.
I remember fun times when I ate to satisfy a craving for something scrumptious!
I still love to cook. Hence the blog title "Cooking is my passion"...
Baking cakes just happen to be my job right now. *grin* :P

Creamy wild mushroom and onion puff tarts.
1 cup wild mushroom sliced
1/2 an onion sliced thinly
2 sprigs fresh oregano
1/4 cup cream
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp olive oil

6 squares ready rolled puff pastry

Saute mushrooms and onions in olive oil. Season with salt and pepper and throw in a sprig of chopped up oregano. **edit: Sorry about leaving the cream out Hehe.
Remove the pan from the heat and add in the cream. Allow to fizzle and stir to combine the mixture into a thick creamy sauce.
Use this as a filling in the centers of the tart pastry and bake in 190degree oven for 15 minutes till golden brown, puffed and delicious!
Sprinkle with the rest of the fresh oregano and dish out in a stack. Yummyness!

They look really yummy! I love fresh oregano. It's quite expensive, but I bought myself a little plant from Ikea and it's doing quite well! So now I have fresh oregano all the time, hehe.

Just a quick question, in the ingredients list you've got 1/4 c cream; where does the cream go?

Those look really delicious - I love puff pastry, it's so bad for you, but tastes so good!

I was just wondering - do you add the cream to the mushrooms? It's not mentioned in the recipe, and I wanted to try this one. :)
