Any Marvel fans out there?
Who remembers Marvel VS Capcom?! Ahhh those were sweet sweet times...
Hehe, I'm certain many who frequent this little girl's journal rarely have the same interests as her.
From computer games to gaming consoles and arcade machines... who would imagine she finally found her calling working in a kitchen doing CAKES! *tsk tsk*
I'm not sure if the birthday boy I made this cake for was a little too young to know what MARVEL was; or how it had relation to Superman or Spiderman. His dad and mom got a kick out of the whole theme at least. I guess kids these days don't read comic books the way we used to anymore; it's more what's showing in the theaters or on TV. An uncle of mine collects Marvel and heaps of different comic books... his collection is absolutely mindblowing! Sis and I used to have a peek at them when we were given permission to. Now with action figures which fly and speak; nobody wants a hero on paper anymore. I'm a sucker for all things vintage and ancient. *grin* Who can guess who these characters are?
Well... the green guy is hard to miss as The Hulk! haha I'm not sure if I got his face as angry as I wanted to.
This cake was heaps fun to do... lots of tedious tiny detail work on each of the cupcakes; but it was worth the trouble in the end.
I cant remember how many hours it took me to give Captain America his mask and shield. Ahh... mini face-cakes are what I do best... but face cakes which look like a 'particular' character-face is a pain in the butt! *tear*
Mom helped tons with this project... she carefully cut out every tiny detail of these cupcakes and stuck them on gently to create these beautiful lettering. I don't know what to do without Mom sometimes... she's my Hero.
