Whats beneath the shore?

Ee!! An adorable turtle!!
The turtle is my favourite! The matching fishies ain't too bad either...but awww...lookat cute little TURTLE!*I apologize...the 3 year old in me has taken over the keyboard.Assembling this cake was so much fun...coming up with the design and sketching was even more exciting! The cute-ness of it all had me jumpy and enthusiastic!
I've always wanted to do an ocean+sand themed cake but never found the opportunity. Well...finally! It was Issacs birthday last weekend....and we couldn't come up with a specific theme to reflect his interests or personality. I was free to do as I wish! *yaY!!*
It was the perfect opportunity for adorable sea creatures!
Why the weird rectangular shape? you ask ...
well...
Why not?
*grin* ;)

Hi. I am sooo wrong. THIS one is the BEST & takes the cake! (pardon the pun). The so called weird block looks like you have taken a 'sample' out of the ocean - like those core samples that geologists take - only your core sample is of the ocean! i think its a brilliant idea. Absolutely love it! Thats one very lucky kid. If it were me i would remember this very special birthday cake for ever = )

I must say you did a great job for every single creation. Very creative indeed. How in the world did you deliver the cakes, unless you can find big boxes for all your cakes

anonymous: hey, thanks, i usually come up with the ideas myself, its hard to get creative ideas from books, u really have to sit down and think about it, nice to hear from u.

anonymous(2): hey, i dont have a good recipe for good white chocolate frosting, but the penut butter frosting should be a little bit clumpy... just a little bit, however try beating the mixture a little longer before adding the condensed milk, that should help, add the milk in a little bit at a time.

m: aaawww thats so sweet, i'd make u a cake too if i knew who u were.

phoebe:hi, i actually buy my fondant from wilton, this site should be helpful if u want to make some on ur own: www.cakecentral.com

anonymous(3): hey thanks for ur comment, the cake inside was almond cherry... just something he likes, would love to hear more from u.

anonymous(Razababy Singapore): hey thanks, can... i will make a post about it, just haven't found the time yet.

wendy: i actually dont put them in boxes, but sometimes i have tall cake covers that fit the cakes, i often need to find custom cake boxes if its requested for, but usually cake stands or cake covers will do.

long time of your work =0d: aaww thanks!

WOW! I am just so impressed! It feels like a little Cartoon Network island. My wife made her first attempt at this cartoon cake decor stuff a while back, and I was roped in to experiment. Now my bro-in-law is saying how our's sucks so much compared to yours. I think he's right! HAHAHA. I am so ashamed...
