A stack of tiny presents for dearest Pinky..

Its 2007!!*gasp* Time flies at lightning speed when you're 21!~ *sob*
Firstly; Happy new year to all ;) I've been caught up with many things back home; haven't found much time to catch up with blogging. But I really do intend to work on more Malaysian recipes in the weeks to come. Chinese new year is around the corner....*MmMMmmm* cookies and snacks galore~ *giggle*This post is a special birthday dedication for my dear housemate, darling friend..and baby girl; Priyanka. We've been housemates for more than 2 years in Sydney and have been creating memories of life@Uni together. The sound of "Pinky-winky-ponky" will always have a special place in my heart. We have differences we accept about each other. We fight; we argue...but we both know we love how we do what we do ;). She loves me...she can't deny. *giggle*
Despite how she was born a year before I was; I've always had a natural instinct to "mother" this sweet lil girl. The princess often smiles at me with appreciation. It makes my day when she hugs me; says thank you and tells me she misses me.
I'm not the best-type-friend, I'm forgetful, fussy and often demanding; she watches in silence, often rolls her eyes and forcefully accepts my flaws~ *laughs*. She encourages me when I'm in self doubt. She cheers me on when I need support...she's always been there for me at my darkest hours. And she's the one I turn to when I'm weak. For all those reasons...she'll never be replaceable. Happy Birthday Pinky..May all good things come your way. I hope our friendship lasts beyond our years in Uni.
I made the cake to resemble a tumbling stack of dainty presents, decorated with royal icing butterflies, sparkles, frills and gold ribbon. "Pink" would be the theme- for obvious reasons* heh
The stack of presents were made from tiny cakes as I was pretty sure Pinky; our health-freak wasn't going to eat it~Haha. She just wanted to look at it...cut it...blow the candles and keep it! It would have been a waste of good cake if I made a HUGE one~ :P
I hope the rest of her family ate the stacked cake under the fondant icing though...it was made from yummy layers of almond cherry cubes.
