Many fortunate individuals were given these pretty fortune cookies as an invite to Artem and I's joint 21st Birthday party this weekend. We decided to throw a party in between our original birth dates to ease sky-high party costs and many dreadful days of planning an extravagant party on our own. I got him over to help make these fortune cookies as they were pretty complicated and impossible to make with just 2 hands! Here's the recipe for the cookies and a short video on how they were done. Remember to handle them when they're piping hot; they need to be shaped straight out of the oven! They become brittle and crack when they cool -- takes them about 2 seconds to do that *sigh* It'll probably take you a couple of broken cookies and burning fingertips; but practice makes perfect ;) so preservere! *laughs* Wear thin cotton gloves if you must....I personally feel the material just gets in the way *shrug*

I JUST LOVED YOUR VIDEO... IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE SEEN SOMEONE DOING THIS COOKIES... I WILL HAVE A GOAL!
YOU ARE SOOOOO CLEVER!!!
haha thanks xenia
helen: my friends were amused with the idea...the only issue was the length of the "fortune" I didn't have enough space for my address/phone number; jsut the main details of the party. I guess I should have made a larger cookie
i am so impressed!!! i'm sure my cookie will arrive in the mail any day now, right?

Hi Su-yin. This is my first time on your blog. My fellow blogger, Toni, posted about your site and I decided to check it out.
I've just been through several posts and I love your blog already. You're so creative! Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
Take care,
Rach
Could you tell me the ingredients for the mass of the cookies, please?? Thanks.
