Super-Duper Sandwich!!

The simplest sandwich....with the biggest WOAH factor! I made one similar to this for a friends birthday a couple of years ago. I received appreciative pats on the back from everyone at the party. The only tricky bit to this sandwich is finding a round bread loaf big enough; and slicing it neatly can be a little fiddly as well. But honestly, I really dont think neat sandwiches are the tastiest! When decadent sandwich fillings pile on top of each other and ooze out with flavourful goodness.....THat's what I call a good sandwich!
I could possibly call this The Ultimate Sandwich. What's best about it is; it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to put together if you have leftover sandwich ingredients ready in the fridge. It's more fun to eat as a group of friends as well; it's the sense of sharing.
Boys would love to have one of these in front of the tv or at a game of sport. It's absolutely bursting with 'manly-ness'!
Sandwich 'How-to':
Slice the top off from a large crusty round bread loaf to make a lid. Dig out the insides of the loaf to form a large bread shell. (use the insides of the bread later to make bread crumbs or to eat with curry, etc.). Butter the lid and the insides of the loaf. Sprinkle with garlic seasoning. Fill it up with layers of sandwich fillings of you choice. Make sure the filling is neat and compacted inside; if not it'll probably fall apart when you slice the loaf to serve. You can put absolutely anything you love in a sandwich! It's a great way to finish up bits and pieces from the fridge!
Here's what I had in mine.
  • roast chicken
  • mayo
  • oregano
  • cheddar cheese
  • lettuce
  • rocket leaves
  • ham slices
  • mustard
  • pickles
  • tomatoes
  • coseslaw
  • Cream cheese + herb and garlic spread
It's YOur ultimate sandwich, Go nuts with the combinations! Just make sure there's no peanut butter jelly with your ham! LOL.

Hi Suyin, thanks for stopping by my blog...Yeah, I love making cupcakes and eating them! I really need to post more about them which was the whole intention of this blog. I also collect cupcake themed stuff for the house.
BTW, I love that sandwich, it's definitely a 'tada' one. Your blog looks very cool. I'm gonna go back and read previous posts of yours if you don't mind....
