Happy Birthday Eddy!

To our dear friend Edward Low.
It's been many years since we've met and our friendship has been a journey filled with unforgettable memories and life changing experiences! Haha...we've shared many dark secrets in the past and the many hours of sharing stories and mindless chatter has definitely made an impact on my perceptions of many different things.
We've gradually grown apart through the years with responsibilities, work, uni, different friends and life on the whole...but I do hope we still make an effort to see each other at least once a month; considering how we live 2 steps away from each other! Haha.
A Big birthday wish and hug from all of us at home; for the many times you've took the trouble to satisfy our KFC cravings, carried our groceries, shared laughs and suicidal antics, stole bricks! *wink*LOL, brought us on scary rides in your beloved red car, rescued our friends from the our "evil" bathroom, made time to come over to fix up our electronic devices, delivered my double bed on top of your car *gasp*, Answered my calls for help when I didn't know who else to turn to and introducing us to the many delicious restaurants in Sydney!
XoXo;
Pinky, Su Yin, Amrit
We weren't able to make it to Eddy's birthday celebration; but we decided he should have a cake from us anyway! The 2 things we know about Eddy is that he loves is his red Mazda and he loves cheese! Haha...here's a "Cheese" slab made with a chocolate whiskey cake and his red car as a topper made from sugarpaste. Everything on the cake was edible and the tiny fiddly bits with the mice and crumbs were made from fondant. I sprinkled on some cocoa as the base and dusted the board with golden sugar crystals to resemble sand.

Awesome job once again! I know I haven't been commenting as much but I sure am visiting still! ;-)
I'll remember to call you up to bake me a big birthday cake with elaborate frosting and decorations for my 21st. Hee.

I'll pay!

Everything you decide to make turns up always soooo cute!!! Congratulations for this cake! Do you take inspirations of other cakes (changing a bit) or your designs come from your imagination only? By the way... do you tint sugar paste yourself or buy already colored? Where (specialty shop) do you by your supplies? Thank you... NB: I missed your posts this weekend, but I guess you had a great time sailing!!!
